Playing violin for over 10 years, Fay has experience as a classically trained musician within the RCM, Suzuki, and ABRSM teaching systems. She also enjoys exploring more casual playing styles, including jazz, film/video game soundtracks, and much more. Developing a repertoire of different genres has allowed her to bring technical and stylistic knowledge to her playing. Alongside violin, Fay has explored several other instruments, which allows her to be versatile in her teaching approaches.
Fay is able to teach following a structured curriculum (like RCM) or a more open learning approach. She caters lessons to adapt to each student’s needs, and creates an environment where they are able to explore all aspects of violin playing and reach their individual goals. Fay’s teaching approach has each student learn the skills needed to reach their full potential, while also appreciating the journey of learning to play the violin.
