Laurie is a dedicated piano teacher and performer with over 40 years of experience. She is known for a nurturing, structured approach that helps students build confidence, strong fundamentals, and steady musical progress.
Laurie’s lessons emphasize RCM exam preparation, technique, musical expression, sight reading, and improvisation. She is especially committed to thoroughly overpreparing students for RCM exams so they can walk in confident and are positioned to achieve Honours or higher.
Laurie holds an Associate Diploma in Piano Pedagogy (ACCM) from Conservatory Canada (First Class Honours) and completed advanced studies through the Royal Conservatory of Music, including history, harmony, and counterpoint. As a performer, Laurie has served as a church pianist and has brought music into the community through performances in senior residences and nursing homes across Ontario.
